Jeff's firm belief that one's home and garden is a great treasure in life, is confirmation that his chosen work suits him well. From designing to planting to engineering to managing, diversity is practically Jeff’s middle name. Constantly outdoors as a youngster, Jeff has always loved gardening, architecture, golf, and boating as well as building and fixing things. When the time came for college, the horticulture and landscape architecture program at the University of Illinois in Champaign seemed the perfect way to combine all his interests.

Jeff joined Hursthouse as a designer soon after graduation and quickly found himself wearing many hats—assisting with on-site work, project management, designing, and more. Jeff’s superior people skills and knowledge in all areas of the business make him a natural in his current position, where he provides a crucial link between the design, production, and sales departments. A born mentor, Jeff also teaches industry courses and is on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association.

Jeff resides in Lakewood where he cherishes his time at home and in the garden with his wife Jenny, son Oliver, and daughter Sophia. Jeff’s favorite part of being a Hursthouse team member is helping to transform landscapes into beautiful yet functional places that make a real difference in clients’ lives.
