The Magic of a Musical Garden on Main Street

As a sponsor for Jazz Fest Glen Ellyn, Hursthouse offered to contribute what it does best: a beautiful, natural environment to enhance the experience of this unique outdoor event. Starting in the wee hours of the morning, Hursthouse staff teamed artistry and elegance to transform Main Street into a gorgeous Jazz Garden—surrounding performers and attendees with a wonderful atmosphere of lush greenery and color.

Graceful arrangements of shade trees and shrubs interspersed with tall ornamental grasses divided the street into multiple distinct spaces. Diverse plantings tucked near comfortable chairs and bistro tables provided pleasant gathering spots for conversation and connection. Sponsor exhibits, refreshment areas, and stores took on added charm amidst the rich array of flowering plants brightening the entire area with bursts of color.

The results delighted locals. “As a community, we were treated to an amazing day and evening,” said resident Christine Pecorella. “The environment was breathtaking and relaxing, and the extremely talented jazz musicians were enjoyed by all.” Business owners were thrilled as well. “The Jazz Garden was stunning,” exclaimed owner Kathryn Hudson. “It completely transformed our street. I wish we could leave it this way forever.”
