McMahon Residence
A Secluded English Garden Retreat
“I used to travel a lot to the United Kingdom and really enjoyed the architecture there, so we wanted our yard to have an English feeling and also to tie in with the style of our house. Our lot has many different levels and quite a few big trees, and we saw it as a great garden spot with a wooded look and a lot of interest.
“Bob did an excellent job combining our ideas with his design ability. The fit between what we envisioned and how he was able to execute it was absolutely perfect. The brick and limestone terraces, the fountains, and the paths plus all the flowers and greenery he put in totally met our expectations. It’s very peaceful; we love wandering around out here and seeing what’s going on.
“The walled courtyard area Bob created to offer privacy from our neighbor’s addition also turned out wonderfully, and the leaf canopy of the maple trees does a great job of screening. We also love the lighting system, which adds a lot of depth to the property. Now we see a constantly changing landscape, very different in the winter than in the summer, but beautiful all the time.”
