“My wife Dani and I love to entertain and be outside, so we wanted a landscape that would let us combine those activities and be a great place for our daughters to enjoy. We also requested a design that would blur the lines between the indoors and outdoors.

“The first thing Bob built was the large cedar deck and bluestone patio in the back yard. Later we added the gazebo, and a firepit you can gather around, and numerous seating areas so multiple groups can be out there together. As our girls grew up we replaced their sandbox with a wonderful pond and waterfall. We also opened up the back yard onto the golf course, so it seems like the view goes on forever. And the plants and trees and flowers and stepping stone paths add plenty of color and diversity.

“What Bob came up with has worked really well for us. We have lots of windows, and they all look out onto the landscape. Even at night, the lights on the deck and in the trees draw the outside in, creating the effect of a huge room. And when we have people over or throw parties, it’s a beautiful place to entertain.”
